Aicha Kouyate

Aicha Kouyate

Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Aicha graduated from the University of British Columbia's Faculty of Law in 2014, after which she joined Kirk Montoute LLP as an articling student and later as an associate.

Aicha has regularly appeared in both Provincial Court and the Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta, and has assisted clients in alternative dispute resolution processes, such as Caseflow, Judicial Dispute Resolution, and the Court's Dispute Resolution Officer program.

During her studies Aicha was an active member of the UBC Law community and served as a Law Student Ambassador and as a student mentor. As well, she worked in the Admissions office of the Faculty of Law, and as an Orientation co-ordinator for the Class of 2016.

Prior to commencing her articles, Aicha spent six months working in the Tribunal Counsel Office of one of British Columbia's largest tribunals.

In her spare time Aicha enjoys painting, drawing, and playing basketball. Aicha is also fluent in Finnish.
